To make the best use of solar power, reliable data is needed. These have Everday and the data analyst uses them to do “smart things” with. For example, we calculated the “own consumption share” for Michael Kors down to the kWh level. With this, we advise them on how to make the best use of their solar power, matching the costs and returns of the various streams.
The analysis revealed that Michel Kors’ electric forklifts went to the charger after the second shift at night. But in the evening, power must then be taken from the grid. An extra battery pack to charge in the middle of the day with power directly from the solar system provides immediate financial benefit.
By monitoring and analyzing data 24/7, Everday is able to think with the client about needs and opportunities that were previously unknown or unused. This ensures a better financial return and makes the most of the sun.
